Create Linux VM in VMware vSphere

  1. Go to NCLOUD (17.17.19.234) → Actions

  2. Create a new virtual machine

  3. Assign an IP address and name for the VM

  4. Select Storage: STG234 [Hard Disk]

  5. Set Compatibility: Default (ESXi Compatible)

  6. Guest OS Family: Linux

   Guest OS Version: AlmaLinux (64-bit)

    • CPU Range: Set according to requirements, then enable I/O MOU
    • Memory: Allocate suitable RAM size
    • New Hard Disk:

       - Disk Provisioning: Thin Provision

    • New Network:

       - Browse and select: VM_WAN

• Choose 'Datastore ISO File'
• Enable 'Connect at Power On'
• Paste the ISO file path

1. Click Finish to create the VM
2. Select the created VM and power it on
3. Launch Web Console
4. Begin AlmaLinux installation
- Language: English (India) → Continue
- Installation Destination → Done
- Network and Hostname → Set Hostname: navo.navohost.com → Apply
- Configure IPv4:
• Method: Manual
• Address: <Your Assigned IP>
• Netmask: 255.255.255.0
• Gateway: 103.181.20.1
• DNS Server: 8.8.8.8

- Save settings and enable Ethernet (ON)
- Set Root Password and enable root access
- Click Begin Installation → Reboot System
